How do I start my blog?
Well I’ll start by telling you a little about me; I’m twenty-seven, born and raised on the east coast. And by born and raised I mean that I lived in the same house for the first 18 years of my life, went college 1 1/2 hours away from that house, and proceeded to meet my husband who was incidently “born and raised” 20 mis away from that house. Then, everyhting changed. My husband commissioned into the Army and suddenly we were on a road trip to Desert of the Southwest. Spent about six months there and then it was back to the good old east coast for almost 2 1/2 years. We were still 5 hours away from that house I grew up in, but there were seasons, the ocean, and lots of green vegetation. It felt like home.
Sound familiar? If you used to follow my old blog, Feels Like Home then you may remember me. I am kPod and I kept up that blog (albeit a bit sporadically) for a little less than 3 years. Almost overnight I stopped writing to it and turned it private. There were many reasons for this. Detailing my life in a public domain made me nervous. Not to mention my life had become pretty routine with not a lot that I felt was blogworthy. But honestly the biggest reason was that the blogging world had become just a bit “too much” for me and I needed to take a step back for a while. So I did. I’ve enjoyed following all my favorite blogs for the past few months but I’ve realized I miss blogging. I miss having the written chronicle of my adventures in life as a newly weds, as an Army Wife, and as nurse who still feels on some days that she learned absolutely nothing in nursing school! I miss the creative outlet of writing.
So I’m back.
